Safety standards and protection of minors

A 16+ service

Every new and existing account must complete the same age check before private app features are available. The date of birth is used only for the calculation and is not stored; Vlogy keeps only a coarse eligible age band and a versioned verification receipt. Before sharing, every user must also acknowledge the reminder to share only with trusted people, protect personal information and report unsafe content. Vlogy is not intended for anyone under 16 and has no public discovery feed.

Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation

We prohibit any content or conduct that sexually exploits, endangers or targets a minor, including attempted or off-platform facilitation.

• Child sexual abuse material, sexualized depictions of minors, or links and instructions for obtaining them.
• Grooming, coercion, sextortion, trafficking, solicitation or attempts to arrange sexual contact with a minor.
• Threats, harassment, bullying, doxxing or sharing a minor’s private information without a lawful basis.
• Using Vlogy to normalize, promote or coordinate abuse, exploitation or dangerous challenges involving minors.

Reporting and blocking in Vlogy

Members can report an episode or another member from within the app. Child-safety reports enter a durable, urgent moderation queue. A report is separate from blocking, so both actions can be used when appropriate.

• Reports include a reason and may include a short description; never send private video by email.
• Blocking immediately records the safety choice, separates the people from their shared circle and prevents future shared-circle membership while the block remains.
• Removing a block does not automatically restore a previous membership or invitation.

How we respond

We review child-safety reports with priority and take proportionate action based on the available evidence and applicable law.

• Restrict or remove content and access to private groups.
• Suspend or close accounts involved in serious or repeated violations.
• Preserve relevant records for a limited safety or legal retention period.
• Report apparent child sexual abuse material or imminent danger to competent authorities where required by law.

Immediate danger

Vlogy support is not an emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or the appropriate child-protection authority first. For a Vlogy safety concern, email support@vlogy.app with the subject “Child safety”; do not attach private videos, passwords or sign-in codes.
